Java Love
What's good for the earth is good for you
Product packaging design for an eco-friendly, sustainably sourced coffee company
Java Love is one of my favorite conceptual projects. I designed this brand to be a locally-owned coffee company who also has a coffee house in Nairobi, Nigeria. Java Love also ships product to Europe.
The design concept is modern with Kenyan traditional patterns. The African tribal pattern design was inspired by Kaylan, and I created my own version and color ways in Illustrator for this project.

Brand Objectives
We wanted to create a brand that is both modern and minimal, appealing to a youthful audience. Our organic product will be marketed to those concerned about holistic health, and are concerned about quality sources.
Our growers care about quality and locally sourced beans. Java Love uses best industry practices to ensure they are mold and toxin free. This brand was designed to appeal to Gen Zers and millennials.

Art and design concepts were inspired by authentic African nations' traditional patterns and artwork. We infused this throughout the brand
We used a mixture of modern clean design with a brightly colored palette.
We created a set of 8 different colorways to match the varied flavors. The packaging came out beautifully and would stand out on store shelves if they went to market.

I was so impressed with the work that was done on my new company that I immediately asked Angel to review and refresh my 20 year old company’s advertising materials and redo my logo.
